Cloud Telemetry Team Lead

At MacLean Engineering, we're pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence and driving technological advancements in the mining industry. We're seeking a seasoned Cloud Telemetry Team Lead to spearhead our cloud-based telemetry solutions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize vehicle performance, enhance safety, and ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based solutions for telemetry data processing and visualization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the architecture, development, and operation of backend systems handling telemetry data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.
  • Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure management, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
  • Design efficient backend software solutions and REST APIs in Python using frameworks like express.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of engineering development experience in software engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with the job responsibilities and duties described above.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages, primarily Spanish and French, is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field is an asset.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or similar certification is an asset.
