Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Flood Technician to join our team. As a Water/Flood Technician, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and restoring properties to their pre-loss condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and assess damage to properties
  • Develop and implement restoration plans to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Perform water pumping and extraction, mold remediation, and debris disposal
  • Operate equipment such as drying machines and carpet cleaners
  • Conduct moisture mapping and take temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content readings
  • Participate in vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
  • Construct polyethylene enclosures and maintain equipment
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • IICRC certification for Water Restoration Technician (WRT) required
  • IICRC certification for Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) an asset
  • Previous construction, restoration, or insurance experience considered an asset
  • Familiarity with chemical products and safety data sheets
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven to achieve goals and meet deadlines
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted
  • Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces
  • Fit testing and annual certification required
  • Working at heights periodically
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
