About the Role

VSG Landscaping and Renovation is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate metal components.
  • Quality Control
    • Examine welds and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Material Handling
    • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
    • Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding processes.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
    • Stand for extended periods and maintain attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Willing to relocate for work.
    • Industrial work setting with outdoor and dusty conditions.
  • Security and Safety
    • Basic security clearance.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Own vehicle for transportation to work.
