About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at 2282804 Ontario Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate metal components.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal components.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate metal components.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install metal components using various welding techniques.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment

As a Welder - Fabrication Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods and have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • English language proficiency.
