About the Position
">This role is part of the administrative team at Eastern Townships School Board and focuses on supporting the management of construction projects.
">Job Summary
">We are seeking an experienced Administrative Technician to join our Material Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting project managers, preparing calls for tender, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
">Main Responsibilities
">- ">
- Negotiate and conclude contracts for goods, technical services, professional services, and construction work in compliance with procurement laws and regulations.">
- Support project managers in preparing calls for tender and project follow-up.">
- Assist schools, centers, and other School Board departments in concluding contracts under their responsibility.">
- Analyze and summarize data for budget preparation and participate in its monitoring.">
Additional Responsibilities

- Prepare financial statements, make accounting entries, process invoices, and conduct reconciliations.">
- Develop and adapt work methods and procedures and oversee their application in various sectors.">
- Work with others on file analysis and develop standards for implementation.">
- Apply or adapt management techniques to deliver specific administrative activities and current operations.">
- Prepare reports for distribution and ensure accurate communication with stakeholders.">
- Use computer software to perform duties and assist staff members as needed.">
- Train less experienced technicians and coordinate support staff to implement programs involving technical operations.">
- Perform any other related duties as required.">
Requirements and Qualifications
">- ">
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent recognized by the competent authority.">
- 2 years of experience in budget monitoring for construction projects.">
- Bilingualism in French and English (oral and written).">
- Mastery of procurement laws, regulations, and directives, including LCOP, SEAO, Treasury Board, and DOFIN computerized tools.">
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams, as well as Google environment.">
- Knowledge of Government Acquisition Center (GAC) LAC software and familiarity with GAC documents and procedures will be considered an asset.">
Salary Range
">The estimated salary for this position is between $26.38 and $35.22 per hour, depending on experience.
">Working Conditions
">Flexible hours between 7h and 16h30, with an agreement with the manager.
