Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our databases to ensure they are secure, highly available, and recoverable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
  • Ensure database security, availability, and recoverability
  • Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
  • Participate in continuous process improvement throughout the SDLC

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with commercial service infrastructure at both a software and infrastructure level
  • 3+ years of experience in any of RDMS databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2)
  • 3+ years' experience with UNIX/Linux Operating Systems
  • Functional skills – System Design and Architecture, DevOps / Deployment automation, Troubleshooting, Service Monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience within a programming and application system environment, with experience and a working knowledge in the following technologies: OS: Linux, Windows; Automation: Terraform, BladeLogic, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible; Cloud: AWS, Azure; Scripting: PowerShell, Perl, Shell Scripts
