Job Summary

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading IT services company in Canada. As a Database Solutions Engineer, you will have the chance to utilize your expertise in SQL Server to deliver high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Your strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with stakeholders across business units will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Consult, engineer, design, build, test, deploy quality database solutions using SQL Server
  • Administer SQL database infrastructure full life cycle from design to production support
  • Troubleshoot and tune database and server performance issues
  • Design and implement database solutions that maximize system availability, efficiency, effectiveness, integrity, security, recoverability, and supportability
Requirements
  • Broad experience with IP networking concepts - routers, firewalls, etc.
  • SQL Server Certification MongoDB/Sybase/PostgreSQL
  • Financial Services IT experience
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to effectively interact with individuals across business units and at various levels within the organization
