We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Philthy Philly's Cheesesteak & Poutinerie. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with employment standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including Simply Accounting. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
