Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to lead our medication management team at Baycrest. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare organization and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

About the Role

This key leadership position requires a skilled Pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy practice, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless medication management processes across our facilities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education to Pharmacy students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of medication management strategies to enhance patient safety and quality of care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and dispensing
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Pharmacy Technicians, promoting excellence in their practice
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medication management best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement education programs for Pharmacy students, ensuring they meet faculty requirements
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A valid license to practice as a Pharmacist from the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • Hospital Pharmacy Residency or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with Meditech
