Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disability Claims Examiner to join our team. As a Disability Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex disability claims, making informed decisions, and providing exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze complex disability claims, including medical information and contractual obligations
  • Make informed decisions regarding claim approvals, denials, and modifications
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our members, including timely and effective communication
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including rehabilitation consultants and disability benefits coordinators
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in insurance or long-term disability claim adjudication
  • Post-secondary education in health sciences or a related field
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles and practices, industry standards, and claims investigation and assessment procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
