Job Title: Companion

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion to join our team at Hamilton High Street Residence. As a Companion, you will provide essential support and care to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our residents.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Engage in regular exercise and activities with residents, such as walking or other hobbies.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring our residents have access to essential items.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
