We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Lakeside LTC as a part-time employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Nursing Care: Ensure that care is provided in accordance with established nursing standards and principles, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
- Assess and Develop Care Plans: Assist in assessing patients/residents and develop, implement, review, and evaluate care plans to meet their individual needs.
- Monitor Health and Report Changes: Monitor the health of patients/residents, note changes in condition, and assess the need for referral to doctors.
- Implement Physicians' Orders: Process and implement physicians' orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Certification and Registration: Hold a current certificate of competence from the approved institutions for the province and be registered or eligible for registration with the approved institutions for the province.
- Experience and Qualifications: Previous managerial experience in long-term care or community homecare is preferred. Experience dealing with cognitively impaired individuals is also required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as knowledge in infection control practices. Demonstrate a commitment to working with seniors and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
This is a part-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a variable schedule, including days, evenings, and nights. Access to a reliable vehicle is required for community home care.
