Job Summary

The Senior Platform Architect is responsible for designing, building, configuring, testing, and deploying platform and system technologies to create a highly valuable digital environment. As a subject matter expert in complex platform and system architecture and higher education technologies, you will lead and participate in requirements gathering and analysis, producing feasibility and effort estimates, and planning solution design and delivery steps.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with relevant advances in higher education technologies and the Salesforce ecosystem. Lead and participate in requirements gathering and analysis, produce feasibility and effort estimates, and plan solution design and delivery steps.
  • Design & Engineer: Design secure, robust, capable platform and system technologies. Translate requirements into detailed design documents, perform system and compliance analysis, configure, and test the performance of digital platforms and applications.
  • Transition to Operations: Deliver business and system capabilities and service transition documentation. Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and technical leadership, produce, and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Management: Provide ongoing coaching to team members, act as a professional promoting a supportive work environment, and participate in screening and interviewing job candidates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Mentor IT Services and clients on adherence to university policy, provide expert advice on application/system security, and stay current with industry best practices.
