Senior Platform Architect

Reporting to the Enterprise CRM Manager, this role is responsible for designing, building, configuring, testing, and deploying platform and system technologies to achieve a highly valuable digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning: Stay current with relevant advances in higher education technologies and the Salesforce ecosystem. Lead and participate in requirements gathering and analysis. Produce feasibility and effort estimates. Plan solution design and delivery steps, deployment phases, and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Design & Engineer: Design secure, robust, capable platform and system technologies. Translate requirements into detailed design documents. Perform system and compliance analysis. Configure and test the performance of digital platforms and applications.
  • Transition to Operations: Deliver business and system capabilities and service transition documentation. Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and technical leadership. Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Management: Provide ongoing coaching to team members. Act as a professional, promoting a supportive work environment. Participate in screening and interviewing job candidates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Mentor IT Services and clients on adherence to university policy.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related field with several years of IT security experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Azure is required.
  • Strong experience in leading and managing professional and technical staff.
  • Advanced IT experience with application/system security.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer Certification is an asset.
