About the Role:

  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team.
  • As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Support clients with daily living activities, such as dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to alleviate loneliness and isolation.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Mend clothing and linens, demonstrating resourcefulness and attention to detail.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and hygienic space.
  • Assist clients with exercise and physical activity, promoting overall health and well-being.
  • Change non-sterile dressings, demonstrating knowledge and competence in wound care.

Requirements:



  • Diploma or certification in a relevant field (e.g., personal support work, healthcare aid).
  • 1-6 months of experience in a related field (e.g., personal support work, healthcare aid).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
