Job Description

We are seeking a Home Care Support Assistant to join our team at Comfora Home Care. This role involves providing personal care and companionship to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Companionship: Provide social support and engage in activities with clients
  • Household Duties: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1-6 months of experience preferred
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports newcomers and refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation
  • Support social and labour market integration through language training and skills development
Support for Indigenous People and Visible Minorities
  • Participate in programs that support Indigenous people and visible minorities
  • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities
  • Develop relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
