Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Comfora Home Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks. Additionally, you will provide companionship and emotional support to our clients, helping to maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with relocation costs for clients
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offer mentorship programs to newcomers and refugees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment
Requirements:
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures
