Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automation Software Developer to join our team at ATS Automation. This role will involve designing, developing, and commissioning automation solutions using world-class technologies and processes. Desired candidate will have strong programming skills, preferably with experience in B&R Automation Studio, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software programs for customer and project requirements.
  • Debug and commission control systems at our facility, during system integration, and at customer sites.
  • Travel to customer and supplier sites for installation, commissioning, and training duties.
  • Work with other members of the control systems design department to improve methods of integrating controls technology.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer engineering.
  • Strong programming and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in robotics, control systems, and machine operation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
