Industrial Electrician Technologist

FGL Sports is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial electrical equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and extend its lifespan.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, using various tools and techniques, including electrical schematics and personal computers.
- Troubleshoot programmable controller (PLC) systems, including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, and other complex control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours logged, parts used, and detailed comments on failure causes and solutions.
- Provide information on equipment problems to coordinators and update them as required.
- Collaborate with shift change hand-off teams to ensure seamless transitions and provide necessary information on equipment repairs or work orders.
- Recommend improvements to equipment operation, efficiency, and maintenance costs, and implement changes as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain high-quality workmanship at all times.
- Registered 2 or 3rd Year Industrial Electrician Apprentice with the Ontario College of Trades.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical/controls problems and investigating root causes.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment, testing procedures, and setup/repair of such equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet and standing for extended periods.
FGL Sports offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.
