**Overview of Waste Management Job Opportunity:**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Renewable Energy Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Waste Management. As a key member of our landfill gas to energy production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of our facility, ensuring safe work practices, environmental compliance, and timely maintenance.

**Estimated Salary:** $52,000 - $65,000 per year (based on industry standards and location).

**Job Description:

  • Manage the Landfill Gas to Energy Facility to maximize production while ensuring safe work practices, environmental compliance, and timely maintenance.
  • Inspects ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance and reports any instances of reoccurring shutdowns or equipment de-rating.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all operational requirements of the air permit, including CYCLE task tracking and documentation of compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Represents Waste Management during third-party testing and regulatory inspections.
  • Schedules and coordinates all third-party vendors for scheduled plant maintenance, unscheduled downtime, compliance, and well-field issues.
  • Manages various relationships with power/gas purchasers as a first point of contact for facility operations and scheduling requirements.
  • Diagnoses and repairs internal combustion engines and cooling systems, as well as non-routine repairs or issues that may arise.
  • Ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, equipment maintenance manuals, and Waste Management policies and training.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • 5 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer data entry and interpretation.
  • Ability to successfully manage fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs and travel up to 15% with overnight stays.
  • Basic knowledge of 120/240/480 3ph volt AC circuits, 4160 volt circuits, and DC circuits 12/24 volts.
