We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Dashwood Industries Inc., a company with a rich history of delivering high-quality products since 1928. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing process by implementing design and process changes that enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve performance. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product design improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audits for structural and thermal testing
  • Participate in Lean initiatives to optimize production processes
  • Design and implement new manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency
  • Analyze existing production methods and implement quick set-ups to reduce lead times
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives to improve profitability
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve issues and improve relationships
  • Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and tools for use in manufacturing
  • Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing and design problems to minimize downtime
  • Perform time studies to optimize production workflows

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Strong CAD skills and experience with design software
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills
  • Training in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
