About the Role

Dashwood Industries Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors, with a rich history dating back to 1928. We are committed to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers, and we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement design and process changes to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Support the development of new products and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze production methods and implement quick set-ups to optimize efficiency.
  • Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and tools to support manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing and design problems, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve issues and improve relationships.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong CAD skills and experience with design software.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Training in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
