About the Job

Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Hospitality and Culinary Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling strategies to meet business needs
  • Lead and coordinate activities of food preparation staff, focusing on prompt service delivery and excellent presentation
  • Train and mentor staff in job-specific duties, sanitation procedures, and safe working practices
  • Forecast ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring optimal inventory levels
  • Hire, train, and supervise food service staff, promoting a positive work environment
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and service
  • Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates for menu planning and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, repairs, and waste management
  • Present comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Work closely with chefs to prepare and submit orders for food ingredients and supplies
  • Foster a deep understanding of the establishment's culinary offerings and vision
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate as a minimum educational requirement
  • At least 1 to less than 7 months of relevant work experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and security protocols
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods, with occasional walking required

  • Fast-paced work environment with frequent interactions with customers and staff
  • Work under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Tight deadlines for meal preparation and delivery
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
