About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Advertiser Growth Engine team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building high-availability, low-latency distributed systems that will service millions of users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to high complexity projects, collaborating with scientists to solve localization problems for our advertisers.
  • Mentor junior engineers to ensure projects are delivered with high quality.
  • Design and build scalable services that integrate video, text, and image localization services into workflows to improve our customer's experience.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
