As a Software Development Engineer II on the Advertiser Growth Engine team at Amazon, you will play a critical role in building services and applications that make advertising across countries as seamless as possible. Some of our recent accomplishments include:

  1. Developing world-class text, video, and image localization services using human linguists and machine translation to produce high-quality Advertising content.
  2. Building a highly scalable service that leverages ML and NLP to intelligently route translation content to human linguists based on quality and SLA metrics.

Our current and future goals include:

  1. Integrating video, text, and image localization services into workflows to enhance our customers' experience on and off Ad Console.
  2. Building services to enable multi-marketplace advertisers to create campaigns globally, reducing advertiser friction.

You will join a high-performing team at the core of the Amazon Ad's ecosystem. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from feature ideation to deployment to operational excellence. We will count on you to have strong technical skills, design and build high-availability, low-latency distributed systems that service millions of users, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of innovation and high standards in the team.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead medium to high complexity projects, collaborate with scientists to solve localization problems for our advertisers, and mentor junior engineers to ensure projects are delivered with high quality.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
