Job Title: Assistant Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Local Pizza. As an Assistant Buyer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices and credit terms, and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Negotiate transportation arrangements with suppliers.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail business setting.
Work Environment:

Our team works in an urban area, and we are a recognized employer offering a permanent work term with 32 hours per week. We are committed to providing a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Computer and Technology Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Familiarity with the internet.
Transportation and Travel:

Public transportation is available for our team members.

  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
