Senior Project Management Office Lead

Job Summary:
Babcock International is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Waterfront Project Management Office to lead our multidisciplinary Project Management Office of 30+ staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling all projects within the Waterfront delivery portfolio, ensuring robust financial governance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of project managers and coordinators to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and govern project management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics that align with Babcock's Project Management Framework.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers within the Waterfront Delivery Department to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Develop and maintain project schedules within the portfolio, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Oversee cost-based budget management and financial forecasting for the projects and PMO, ensuring robust financial governance and accountability.
Requirements:
- Masters (preferred) or Bachelors of Business Administration or Engineering with significant experience in Finance and Business or similar.
- 15+ years leadership experience, demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibility related to project scale, complexity, and financial value.
- Expert level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Expert level knowledge of project planning, change, control, cost, risk, and scheduling.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports and delivering presentations.
- Project Controls experience on projects or portfolio with values of $300m or greater.
- PMP or PgMP highly desired.
- Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
