Job Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Center in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clinical services and quality assurance in a state-of-the-art facility
  • Provide leadership and direction in radiation protection programs
  • Develop and implement new techniques and protocols for imaging services
  • Collaborate with clinical practitioners, medical physicists, and operational leaders to ensure high standards in imaging services
  • Participate in academic endeavors, including research, teaching, and mentoring
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in imaging and clinical physics
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high clinical standards
  • Experience in teaching adult learners
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification by the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine or equivalent
  • Specialization in Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and/or Mammography
