About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of various complexities and sizes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and stamp mechanical projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Direct design strategies on complex projects to ensure efficient and effective solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and other team members
  • Lead audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations to identify areas for improvement
  • Support the development of design standards and best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers to help them grow and develop in their careers
  • Troubleshoot construction issues and provide solutions to ensure project success
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct site visits and reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements
Requirements
  • Design experience with central plant systems and DDC control systems
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including those related to building construction
  • Design experience in various industries, including building construction
  • Engineering license in Ontario
  • 10+ years of design experience in building construction
  • 5+ years of design experience in Canada
  • Pro-active problem-solving approach and strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills and effective communication skills
  • Desire to work within a team and contribute to its success
