About the Role

HealthMatch BC is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our team in an outpatient setting. This position will involve caring for adult patients with diverse psychiatric and substance use diagnoses.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working with persistently mentally ill, personality-disordered, and co-morbid populations within a community-focused program. The primary work location will be at the MHSU outpatient clinic, with support for ACT/ACSS services in the community.

This role offers a shared caseload with the current psychiatrist, with no on-call responsibilities outside of regular working hours. We are looking for a flexible individual who can thrive in a growing clinical environment and provide collaborative and consultative services.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Desired
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) eligible - Mandatory
  • Eligible for licensure in British Columbia
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
  • Provisional Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory

Benefits and Incentives

Successful candidates may be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:

  • Retention Premium 7.98%
  • Retention Flat Fee $12,367
  • Relocation Funding Available $15,000
  • Recruitment Incentive $10,000
  • CME benefits $3,000/annum year 3-4 and $6,000/annum after year 4

The compensation type is a mixed billing system with a combination of fee-for-service and sessional billing.
