Job Title: Assistant Vice-President, Corporate Counsel

Aviva Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our corporate legal team within the General Counsel office. As a key member of our team, you will provide first-class legal advice and support to the Aviva Canada business.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a business-minded lawyer with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualifying in-house and/or law firm experience. You will have a strong knowledge and experience in Canadian corporate and commercial law, with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, negotiations, and relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management and executives.
  • Manage projects, negotiations, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the corporate legal team to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Canadian corporate and commercial law.
