Senior 3D Outsourcing Artist for AAA Title Development

About the Role

Motive, a studio within Electronic Arts Inc., is seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Outsourcing Artist to join its Iron Man team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for bringing life to our next AAA title using Unreal Engine 5.

Responsibilities

  • Support the outsourcing team in reviewing and providing technical feedback on external art content.
  • Support the outsourcing team in creating packages for external production.
  • Review and evaluate assets coming from Outsourcing and Codev Partners.
  • Art asset integration and polish.
  • Participate in relevant art review meetings.
  • Help coordinate vendor communication with internal team.
  • Gather references and assist in the look development process as tasked by the Development Director and Outsourcing Art Manager.
  • Take part in vendors testing process.
  • Support external art training and documentation.
  • Support the Outsourcing team in addressing quality issues and concerns.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and act as the owner of the Technical Guidelines checklist documentation, making sure it is up-to-date with the latest technical features.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years 3D experience.
  • Understanding of industry standards, 3D applications, and general workflows with Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter.
  • Experience working with Unreal.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Understanding of best practices including providing feedback using Jira and Slack.
  • Able to set up vendor packages.
  • Able to provide feedback for art assets.
  • Able to adapt to the engine and integrate content.
  • Able to travel if necessary.
  • Positive attitude and work well with others.

Portfolio Requirements
