Electrical Project Manager Job Description

At Smith + Andersen, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Hamilton, ON. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

About the Role
  • Lead electrical engineering projects, including design, procurement, and construction.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards.
  • Manage and coordinate with external consultants, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, calculations, and drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design concepts, methods, and standards.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or equivalent experience.
  • LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
