Electrical Project Manager Job Description

At Smith + Andersen, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Hamilton, ON. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering concepts and designs for projects
  • Manage and coordinate electrical engineering teams to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Prepare and review electrical engineering documents, including design briefs, concept reports, and shop drawings
  • Ensure compliance with provincial building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, methods, and standards
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or equivalent experience and abilities
  • LEED Accreditation or experience implementing sustainable design is an asset
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
