At SGS Societe Generale de Surveillance SA, we are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Modeling Expert to join our Risk Management team in the United States. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our models used in various business areas.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing complex quantitative models to assess and manage risk exposure;
  • Conducting regular model validation and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential risks and issues;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on model-related matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, or STEM;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in model development, validation, or a front-office quant role;
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar languages;
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical staff.
