Job Description

Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Educational Support Specialist to join our team at District School Board Ontario North East. The successful candidate will provide support to our educational institutions in the Central Region, working closely with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational support to students, teachers, and parents in a variety of settings
  • Assist with lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. education, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with children and youth in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
