About the Role

The Kenora Catholic District School Board is seeking a skilled Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a positive role model and support the school's safe, inclusive, and accepting learning environment.
  • Maintain the integrity of all building systems, including exterior building envelope, interior finishes, building hardware, electrical equipment, and mechanical/plumbing.
  • Repair, replace, or maintain equipment and materials as necessary.
  • Purchase parts, materials, or equipment as required to complete maintenance or repairs.
  • Maintain records related to repair and maintenance of all building systems.
  • Assist in cost analysis for projects as required.
  • Participate in Health and Safety training.
Requirements
  • Possess a current Ontario and/or Inter-Provincial Trade Certificate in their respective trade or a minimum of 5 years of building and maintenance experience.
  • Possess a valid 'G' class driver's license and provide evidence of a clean driver's abstract.
  • Computer literacy is an asset.
  • Ability to work under conditions that require working in inclement weather.
  • Occasional heavy lifting.
  • Must be flexible and able to work under tight time constraints.
  • Some overtime work may be required.
