About the RoleAs an RPN at Country Village Homes - Woodslee, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide comprehensive care services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring exceptional resident care by following protocols and maintaining physicians' orders.
- Observing, reporting, and recording vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiating remedial health measures as needed.
- Organizing and directing functions related to the provision of care to residents.
- Assisting in the management of nursing and personal care staff.
- Training and professional development of new staff, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A serving heart and a passion for caring for seniors.
- Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the 'big picture'. French speaking is an asset but not required.
