About the Role

PetroChina Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lifting Representative. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and evolving industry, working on a large-scale LNG project that sets the benchmark for economically, environmentally, and socially responsible LNG development in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support PCC's LNG commercial operations and serve as the single point of contact for the Scheduling Coordinator within LNGC.
  • Liaise with Joint Venture partners to coordinate PCC's LNG Commercial Operations.
  • Work with Commercial Operations to execute Capacity, Nomination, Lifting, and Allocation rules (CNLAA) and Condensate Lifting Agreement (CLA).
  • Provide information and support required by Scheduling Coordinator for required LNG shipping information.
  • Ensure proper cargo and export documents are in place for each LNG loading.
  • Make high-value decisions, specifically in the event of a crisis.
  • Negotiate with other JV Lifting Representatives and the Scheduling Coordinator team on various matters and solutions.
  • Set up commercial operation communication protocol, workflow, and procedures.
  • Support the LNG asset team in commercial strategy development and contractual negotiations.
  • Support and coach team on familiarity with equity lifting commercial model and share knowledge among team members.
  • Provide trading support for condensate loading and related matters.
  • Support internal teams with hydrocarbon accounting processes.
  • Conduct research and analysis into value creation opportunities and provide associated due diligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and industry peers.
Requirements
  • A broad range of skills or backgrounds may be suitable for this position.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of industry experience, LNG experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow in an evolving role.
  • Knowledge of natural gas markets and/or scheduling an asset.
  • Understanding of LNG value-chain and ability to resolve irregularities in production measurement is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to make judgements and provide opinions while operating in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, set priorities, and respond effectively to demanding or unpredictable situations.
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker, proficient in making business decisions that may impact the assets, as well as other functional areas.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with Mandarin language skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with varying hours and on-call rotation.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
