Job Summary:

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a skilled Yard Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Yard Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our yard, including the organization and supply of materials, general yard cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment
  • Ensure the yard is maintained in a clean and organized manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, loaders, and man lifts
  • Collaborate with department heads to supply the production plant with materials when and where required
  • Contribute to the development of improved processes and procedures for material organization and staging

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with steel fabrication, pipe, and steel nomenclature
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Able to operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, loaders, man lifts, scissor lifts, and plow trucks
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, alcohol, and drug test

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change. The ability to work safely and responsibly, both alone and as part of a team, is essential.
