Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team as part of our Graduate Development Program (GDP). This two-year program is designed to develop multi-discipline proficiency, including chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial, or electrical expertise. As a participant, you will have access to mentorship from Company leaders, technical Subject Matter Experts, and former GDP participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop proficiency in multiple disciplines through hands-on experience and training.
  • Review and analyze technical reports, including energy and water consumption data.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests under the supervision of a lab manager and prepare daily technical reports.
  • Produce SIPOC diagrams for departmental operations and identify key physical locations.
  • Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment, including starters, VFDs, soft starts, and breakers.
  • Analyze operational and cost studies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assume responsibilities as an Area Supervisor, demonstrating leadership skills and emotional intelligence.

  • Emotional Intelligence: Show empathy and understanding in interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, oral/written communication, and a passion for pursuing a career path in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other essential tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build strong relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners.
  • Prior Related Experience: A plus, but not required.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience, including internships and co-op positions.
  • Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment, or internship experiences preferred.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
