About the Role

Informa PLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the company's needs.

About the Job

This role involves working on the Amplero Personalization Platform, where you will utilize your expertise in big data ETL pipelines, marketing decisioning engines, and web applications. You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team that collaborates closely with other departments to deliver high-quality solutions.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in daily standups, sprint grooming, and effort estimation.
  • Providing business hours production support as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Mentoring junior engineers.
  • Solving problems that require applying existing methodologies, processes, and tools to new use cases.
  • Proactively implementing best practices for code development, scaling, performance, and testing.
  • Completing a significant volume of discrete tasks defined by the manager.
  • Prioritizing tasks based on timelines and dependencies.
  • Explain complex implications and findings to technical peers and leaders.
  • Facilitating open discussions with team members regarding decisions.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer who has a strong background in Java, Scala, and SQL. You should have a good understanding of core data structures and algorithms, as well as experience with big data ETL, web application REST APIs, and web UI development.

In addition to your technical skills, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be curious and eager to expand your horizons, and have at least 5 years of engineering experience.
