We are seeking an Academic Guidance Professional to join our team at EPIC - Educational Program Innovations Center. As an Academic Guidance Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their educational journey by providing guidance on academic, career, and vocational matters.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for attending educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest developments in education. They will also counsel students regarding their educational, career, or vocational issues, consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies, and coordinate the provision of counseling and information services to students, parents, and teachers.
Duties and Responsibilities- Counsel students regarding their educational, career, or vocational issues
- Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest developments in education
- Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support to students
- Coordinate the provision of counseling and information services to students, parents, and teachers
- Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest tests
- Refer students to other specialized services when required
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and workshops
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week and will be expected to have:
- Attention to detail
- Efficient interpersonal skills
We offer a competitive salary of $50,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the location and requirements of the role.
