The University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer position in the Department of Philosophy for the Spring 2025 academic session. This is an emergency posting in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3.
This opportunity is part of our commitment to excellence in teaching and research. As a Sessional Lecturer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; holding regular office hours.
Detailed Requirements- A PhD in-hand.
- Advanced prior knowledge of the subject-matter of the course and topic-related teaching experience.
- Related research and a record of research achievement is considered an asset.
- Broad range of teaching and research in philosophy are considered an asset.
You will work closely with the department's faculty members to ensure that your teaching aligns with the program's objectives. You will also contribute to the development of new courses and programs, as well as participate in curriculum design and review.
