Job Title: Child Care Worker Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team at St. Albert Montessori School Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves providing support in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, engaging them in activities, and assisting with daily routines.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote learning and development
  • Engage children in storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Basic security clearance, criminal record check, and Child Abuse Registry check
  • Availability to work 35-40 hours per week
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
