Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team at St. Albert Montessori School Ltd. The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding: Assist in caring for the physical needs of infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Daycare Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Storytelling and Creative Activities: Engage children in storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote creativity and imagination.
  • Assisting Educators: Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist educators in keeping accurate records of children's progress and activities.
  • Snack Preparation and Room Arrangement: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance required.
  • Criminal Record Check: Required.
  • Child Abuse Registry Check: Required.

  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity required.
