Senior Estimator

Join a leading Canadian General Contractor in the ICI construction industry and take on a challenging role as a Senior Estimator. With a strong focus on innovation, safety, and quality, this company is an industry leader in off-site construction and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate major construction cost estimates and develop contracts for projects
  • Coordinate site visits and organize plans and specifications for display and distribution
  • Conduct cut and fill take-offs, excavation backfill, site servicing, and formwork and concrete quantities and pricing
  • Work on unit-rate tenders and perform take-offs directly related to the units
  • Attend site visits, take pictures, notes, and interact with owner/consultant
  • Build a preliminary tender schedule based on major and long delivery dates and review with the construction department
  • Identify risk or opportunity avenues
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree, Construction Management degree, Technical College diploma, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry or equivalent field
  • Experience in Construction Management and Design Build projects
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
  • Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset
  • LEED Accreditation is valued as an asset
  • Familiarity with Procore and BIM software is advantageous
