Are you a seasoned professional looking to drive client-focused culture and deepen relationships?

In this role, you will lead and drive a client-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement process and control improvements to continuously enhance client experience
  • Be responsible for the design, execution, and sustainment of the centralized Supervision/Compliance program
  • Manage critical third-party vendor relationships including ongoing performance monitoring and reporting, business continuity planning and annual reviews to ensure efficiencies and scalability within the overall platform
  • Coordinate Tangerine Investments non-financial risk activities ensuring the Enterprise Risk Management Framework is applied consistently and effectively mitigate the non-financial risk exposure for the business
  • Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors
  • Communicate the vision, values and business strategy and manage succession and development planning for their team

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in an operations, supervision, compliance, or related role covering securities businesses (i.e., CIRO, provincial securities regulated business)
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
  • Experience in supporting Sales and Client Management teams
  • An ability to drive process improvements to enhance client experience in line with regulatory expectations
  • A strong understanding of regulations, systems, and operational processes supporting Tangerine
  • Exceptional presentation and written communications skills
  • Advanced influencing and relationship building skills
