Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced retail leader to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of management experience and be able to motivate and develop a team to achieve results.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of the business, as assigned by the Store Manager. They are accountable for supporting all store operations and functions and are responsible for the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver continuous training to motivate the store team.
  • Manage team performance with ongoing coaching.
  • Help to proactively recruit people who are aligned with our culture and brand vision.
  • Demonstrate leadership on the sales floor by setting the standards around product knowledge, customer experience, and brand image.
  • Lead, coach, and provide timely feedback around sales plans and key performance indicators.
  • List, delegate, and manage team responsibilities within all areas of the business.
  • Support the Store Manager in the overall store recruitment strategy and is responsible for developing our talent bench.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a management or relevant experience.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • Experience in retail business (an asset).
  • Demonstrates a creative approach towards customers, management, and complex situations.
  • Ability to work alone and within a team.
  • Ability to understand sales targets.
  • Flexible availability (days, evenings, and weekends).
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide group insurance, including medical and dental insurance, and VRSP available to all full-time employees. Retail employees receive one complimentary pair of glasses, and corporate discount on glasses for future purchase and for their family and friends.
