Job Summary

Magna Seating is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain production and quality by ensuring all production and other mechanical equipment is properly maintained and in peak operating condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and operate to prescribed tolerances various industrial machines, including lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, welding, and boring machines.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance of plant production and other related equipment using a variety of industrial tools and machinery.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery, including changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, unusual sounds or smells, and perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as needed.
  • Report all findings using eMaint software and tablet.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
  • Keep work area clean and perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Work effectively with other team members when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools is required. A valid Certificate of Qualification in the Industrial Millwright trade (433A) is mandatory. Welding experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding is also required. Industrial machine repair experience is essential. Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manuals is necessary. A high degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures are required. The candidate must be able to read and write English in order to communicate successfully and safely with coworkers. Sound computer skills, including knowledge of common software, are also necessary.

Additional Information

Compensation: $42.99/hr.

Shift: Midnights (steady)

Shift Premium: $1.25/hr.
